Becoming a Christian can be confusing.  You hear new words that you may not know the definition for.  Here are a few of the basics to get you started.

Salvation– deliverance from sin and its consequences through faith in Jesus Christ (Romans 1:16).

Eternal Life-refers to the personal heart-to-heart relationship a Christian has with Jesus. This is a gift from God that only comes through Jesus Christ.  It is a life that goes on and on with no end (Romans 6:23).

Saved by grace–  to be delivered from the righteous judgment of God through no act of your own but from His unmerited favor (Ephesians 2:8).

Sin– an immoral act considered to be a transgression against divine law (Romans 3:23).

Born again– to undergo a spiritual rebirth or a regeneration of the human spirit from the Holy Spirit (John 3:3).
