We just finished the Trumpet Judgments and we are approaching the midpoint of the Tribulation.  A lot of death is ahead and an unlikely resurrection.

We discussed the Two Witnesses a few days ago.  Remember that God sent the Two Witnesses to spread the gospel and to work with the 144,000 Jewish Witnesses to reap a great soul harvest on the earth.  However, God is only allowing the witnesses to prophecy and preach for 1,260 days.  During these 1,260 days, the Two Witnesses have stopped the rain and have turned water to blood.

The Antichrist is none to pleased with the Two Witnesses and by the midpoint of the Tribulation has had enough of them.  Revelation 11:7-8: And when they have finished their testimony, the beast [Antichrist] that rises from the bottomless pit will make war on them and conquer them and kill them, and their dead bodies will lie in the street of the great city that symbolically is called Sodom and Egypt, where their Lord was crucified.   The bodies of the Two Witnesses will lie in the street for 3 days.  During this time, people will have parties, dance around the dead bodies, and exchange gifts.  It will be just like Christmas.

After 3 days, God Himself will raise them from the dead.  A loud voice from Heaven will say “come up here” and the Two Witnesses will be taken to Heaven.  Then a great Earthquake will level 1/10 of the city and 7,000 people will die.

Antichrist has just killed God’s chosen witnesses on the earth; however, Antichrist’s time has come as well.  Antichrist will be killed with a sword to the head.  Revelation 13:3:  One of its heads seemed to have a mortal wound, but its mortal wound was healed, and the whole earth marveled as they followed the beast.  Antichrist is killed but he is raised from the dead. (Sounds similar to Jesus doesn’t it?)   But Antichrist isn’t the same man he was before. Satan himself has now indwelt the Antichrist.  Don’t forget that Satan wants to be God and now he has the whole world at his disposal to worship Antichrist.  He is going to wipe out anyone who believes in God and Jesus.

Antichrist now has a sidekick- the False Prophet. The false prophet will be the mouth piece for the Antichrist.  Revelation 13:12-13:  It exercises all the authority of the first beast in its presence, and makes the earth and its inhabitants worship the first beast, whose mortal wound was healed. It performs great signs, even making fire come down from heaven to earth in front of people.  Not only will he perform “miracles” similar to the prophets of the past, he will require the world to worship the Antichrist. The Mark of the Beast is coming next.
