I remember four months ago as I was doing my morning bible study God impressed on me that we were to start an English website. I shared the idea with my wife and she asked what the website should be about. I said that I didn’t know the details but I knew the direction that we were to take. As the days went by, the Lord impressed on me that the website was supposed to be about people’s testimonies about God.
Consider this. I left Mexico when I was 14 years old. I did not finish school and I didn’t know any English. I do not have a strong background in grammar or sentence structure because I didn’t go to school to learn any of the important skills that are required for this project. But I still knew that I needed to get started right away.
I asked my wife to see if she could put together the website for me. She signed up for a class at Tulsa Tech. When it came time to go to the class, she found out that everyone else who had signed up for the class had dropped out. She had the instructor to herself and the two of them focused solely on building the website.
Long story short, everything that we needed to accomplish this project was provided for us and more than we expected. As we write this, we are only two months into the website going live and the success is beyond what we expected so soon. At this point, we have had 582 visitors in 8 different countries. Only God could pull out numbers like that so quickly. What if I had chose not to obey? You would not be reading this today and 582 people would not have read the stories inspired by God.
Consider this. What if….
- Moses decided not to return to Egypt to set the Jews free because he was too embarrassed to face his former family (Exodus 4:18-5:2)?
- What if David told Samuel “thanks but no thanks” when he was told that he would be king (1 Samuel 16)?
- What if Jesus decided that dying for our sins was just too much pain and decided not to go through with God’s plan (John 18-20)?
- What if Peter hung himself after denying Christ three times out of remorse (John 18:15-27)?
- What if Paul stayed in self-pity when he went blind, decided he deserved to be blind, and did not choose to follow Jesus (Acts 9:1-14)?
I’m going to give you the words that will encourage you to take the next steps in your God given assignment: settle in your heart not to give doubt an opportunity to keep you away from developing your true potential. No more walking in fear when God is directing you to move. Erase every doubt and every fear and your life will be different. You will be a bigger influence than you thought was possible. Only believe, do, and trust that you are being guided to your destiny. Tell God that you believe in Him and you trust Him every day through the process.
Until you make this a declaration and a way of life, your dreams will be too small. You must make a global impact now.
Is it possible? Absolutely. Be determined only to believe and to trust in God alone. He will take care of the rest.
