The purpose of Angels and you- pt. 1

We are meant to give testimony about who God is to us and what He has become in our lives through our receiving of Jesus as Lord of our lives.  Angels were also meant to give testimony of who God is and bring the purpose of God to this earth by giving us messages from God.

We learn in the Bible that God created angels before He created man. These angelical beings are part of the plan of God and have many different functions.  God created angels to be with Him and to serve Him.  God gave angels free-will to chose to serve Him and to be with Him.

The Bible describes that there are armies of angels in Heaven. The realm of angels is set up similar to the armed forces that we see in our world.  The armed forces are divided into different rankings from a cadet to generals. In the Heavenly angel realm, God created angels with different ranks. Some are messengers, some stay on the earth, some travel back-and-forth from the earth to heaven, and some guard the military-655630_1920.jpgHeavenly realm.

In Isaiah 14:12, God describes a powerful angel that He created named Lucifer. Lucifer is described as the top angel that God created to bring praise unto God. Because Lucifer was created with much splendor like no other angel, he eventually wanted to overthrow God.  Of course, Lucifer was not successful. God knew beforehand that Lucifer was going to rebel against God. Lucifer also convinced 1/3 of the angels to follow him.  As a result of Lucifer’s disobedience and pride, Lucifer was thrown down from heaven along with his followers.

Because God is a God of order, He never gets caught by surprise.  God says He never sleeps and He never slumbers.  God knows the past, the present, and the future and has had a plan since the beginning of time.  God even says he knows our thoughts before we think them.

When a baby is born on this earth, the bible tells us that angels are assigned to each baby to help guide him or her throughout life (Psalm 91:11). In Matthew 18:10, Jesus said: See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you that in heaven their angels always see the face of my Father who is in heaven.  Angels are put in charge of different areas of the world.  For protection, God has put angels in homes and at places of true worship like churches or buildings where His human followers dwell.

  • Angels are real.
  • Angels carry messages.
  • Angels protect and guard us.
  • Angels escort believers to the presence of God.
  • Angels are spiritual beings and can take the form of a human being.
  • Angels coexist with the pending plan of God for man.
  • There are good angels and fallen angels who choose not to follow God’s plan.
  • Eventually, fallen angels will be cast into the Lake of Fire along with Satan and people who choose not to believe and follow God.

Tomorrow we will look at one of the most powerful angels in God’s arsenal. The angel Gabriel has been given many important assignments to carry out.  We will discuss two assignments that helped change the world.  Just like the angel Gabriel, you and I have an assignment that will build our testimony to share with others to glorify God and for the good of all man. That’s how valuable you are.

Is it possible?  Absolutely.  If you are a believer, you have been entrusted to deliver a message that will change the world.  Be determined to share God’s message today.
