The blueprint of God

As I get older, I understand that we were all created to be part of a greater plan. Discovering  and waiting on the plan is where we fail to be patient and persevere. Sometimes we are given direction but we are still waiting on the details.  A level of frustration can come over us as we wait to see exactly what we are to do. We have to realize that sometimes the details will be given as we go.

Right now we have all been given direction from God.  It’s impossible to believe that God has not given direction to everyone alive because He has our best interest at heart. The question that we need to ask is are we following the directions we’ve already been given?

God has had the master plan for each one of us in place since before we were born.  You can use the example of a homebuilder building a house to explain God’s purpose in your life. There are thousands of details that are involved in making a home come to life. The builder has to take the time to discover the details of what the house needs:  ground to build on, a concrete slab, plumbing, electricity, bricks, wood, shingles, windows, and the list goes on and on.  But the true masterpiece behind the home is the blueprint that guides how the home is built.

In this example you are the masterpiece; you are the blueprint of God.  God drew up the new-home-1664288_1920.jpgplan of your life and knows every detail.  Now it is our responsibility to find out who we are in Him and what we are supposed to look like as we follow Him.  We must be discovering all our faculties.  We need to find out what our mind’s needs to look like and act like, what should be in our hearts, and honor God with our bodies.

Can you stand like a finished house that gives us protection, services, and peace?  Can your finished product (you) stand against the adversities of life?  Is your life productive and following the plan of God?  We were made to thrive and to go to higher and higher places following God’s purpose (to be like Christ) and to be a God-given testimony to those around us sharing God’s way of life.

As I close, remember 1 Corinthians 3:10:  According to the grace of God given to me, like a skilled master builder I laid a foundation [God], and someone else is building upon it [us]. Let each one take care how he builds upon it.

Is it possible that your life and my life can resemble what God in His infinite wisdom saw your life to be?  Can you be an amazing testimony for others to follow?  Absolutely.  Be determined to be the testimony God intended you to be.
