How wonderful it is to see the very first steps of a child ready to discover the world around him?
What about receiving a promotion at work? Many years of dedication; finally pay day arrives. You have climbed the ladder of success in your company. Finally you have your own private office
How about the Super Bowl? We all stand together supporting our teams and hoping for the outcome we want to see.
How about graduation day? What a moment! You finally received your diploma for a nursing career. Do you remember the day when you graduated college with an internship to a law school? How about the school diploma for all those years you were struggling to make the grade?
How about the title deed of a paid off home? What a moment of fulfillment when your home is paid for. And on and on.
What is your story of accomplishments? What makes you feel altogether good?
None of these stories started as victories. Everyone had a beginning. How gracious is God the creator, the one that put man and woman on this earth to be able to write a history, a piece of victory and a sense of self-worth. With only God can these things be possible. He is and will always be the creator of beginnings.
Let’s look at God’s story:
- God the creator of Heaven and Earth. Genesis 1:1
- Creator of the first man Adam and Eve. Genesis 1:26, Matthew 19:4
- The creator of true wisdom. Psalm 111:10, Proverbs 1:7
- Knowing God is the beginning of knowledge. Proverbs 4:7
- The beginning of the word and He was with God. John 1:1
- Jesus the first born of the dead and He is preeminent. Colossians 1:8
- The Lord, the one who laid the foundations of the earth. Hebrews 1:10
- Jesus said, “I am the alpha and the Omega. The beginning and the end.” Revelation 21:6
Everything has a beginning, like your life and my life, just as the beginning of a seed planted on the ground until its harvest time. There is a process bringing us to completion. God sees us as a finished product through His own ability power and strength. He knows what is best for us from the beginning to the finished product of our life. God created us and He sees us just as He sees His son Jesus: all complete, nothing broken, nothing missing. He sees us as sons and daughters capable to spend eternity with Him. But God cannot make anyone be what He established us to be unless we choose to follow. God gave man a choice and a will to decide. He said, “I set before you life or death. Choose life.”
Is it possible? Absolutely. We can choose life in Him and we can see ourselves as a finished product forever.
