John 15:1-5: I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in me that does not bear fruit he takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, that it may bear more fruit. Already you are clean because of the word that I have spoken to you. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.
We discussed yesterday how important it is to a business to take inventory of their product and service to make sure that the store or restaurant is presentable for customers. Likewise, we need to represent the “store” of God in a way that is presentable to unbelievers.
Other focuses of a store are its reputation, influence and the services the establishment offers. For us as believers in Christ, the best service we can offer is our character. Like a tree, the main part that supports it all is the roots of the tree deep in the soil. The tree also needs enough water and nutrients to be able to stand the winds of life and the droughts and floods of this world.
Our character is similar to the tree. We must be rooted in Christ and God’s word must be our nutrients and water. Life will flow out of us where we are planted and where decide to remain
If you and I are planted in Christ as the scripture says, we will forever produce the best fruit around. Only pure life will flourish, but our influence will spread and our reputation of whom we serve will be solid. We will never run out of God’s services. People will continue to come for more advice.
Notice where ever we go, our fruit will be attractive. Our attitude will be in check and our message will bring life to those around us. The favor of God will be there. Opportunities will be there to promote the goodness of God that so many people are looking for. Our never shaking faith will stand against the storms of Life unmovable and unshakable.
We will be standing in the most amazing place with God designing our lives. We will be the reflection of the son of God in this life on this earth all for the glory of God the father and the good of all man. Your life will be what God intended it to be with the fullness and potential He desires for you.
Is it possible? Absolutely. It’s time to do inventory in your life so we can continue our journey here on this Earth for God’s glory. Yes you can!
