This is my story.
Sorrow. Grief. Despair. Every pain felt; every emotion spent. People who once cheered now jeered. Tears flowed down the cheeks of a few. Others cheered for the main event- an unwarranted death.
Cold steel nails piercing skin. Blood pouring from wounds. The pain was excruciating. Forsaken to save others. The weight of the world placed on two shoulders. A death unwarranted but necessary to redeem all.
Three days in the grave. A stone blown away. A now empty grave. A soul crushed as an guilt offering and redeemed by His blood (Isaiah 53).
Death overcome.
Victory.
Grace.
Hope.
Love.
Life.
When we accept Jesus’s gift of salvation, this becomes our story. You were crucified with Christ. Your sin hung on the cross and was washed white as snow. Galatians 2:20: I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
Your past is left behind as well as the old person you used to be. They are dead. Romans 6:11: So you also must consider yourselves dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus.
We became one with Jesus. When you look in the mirror, see Him smiling back at you.
What is your story?
