There Are Giants In The Land!

In our lives there are often things that look much too big for us. They can be

• Family issues;
• Health problems;
• Financial pressures;
• Job and Business related barriers…

In all of these, the situations looks far too great for us to deal with – on our own.

And they are!

The life of Caleb stands as a great example of one who saw the reality of the difficulties that lay before him, but had a confidence in a Promise God had made.Through this God given promise he was ready to face the “giants.”

One of the central issues we will see is the resistance he had from others who could not see the potential of the victory because they saw themselves as unable to deal with the problem… it was just TOO BIG.

Family, friends, business colleagues, teachers, and even pastors, at times feel it is their job to make sure we see how truly difficult, even futile, it is for us to attempt to gain victory in one of these areas of our life.

But we see hope… and through faith, our hope will become a reality.

The lesson of HEBREWS CHAPTER 11 is, “Through faith…” All of the men and women mentioned in this great chapter faced incredible odds, and took a course that others doubted.

But, they “trusted in the Promise of God” more than the power of the “giant” that stood in their way. They were willing to believe what God had promised and see the victory, “Through faith…”
