Many of us at one time or another have been in a place of searching for answers and help. We find ourselves in a time of need and are looking for anyone who can help us through it. Because God loves us, we can always turn to Him for answers.
Before we were even created, He speaks about us in Colossians 1:16. Everything and everyone has a purpose. We might not see the devastations that could occur from birth to now one thing for sure is that God has a plan and he is always working in our favor.
Today if you don’t know him, I encourage you to invite him into your heart. Just pray this prayer:
Father God, today I call you my Heavenly Father for the first time. I know your word is truth. I accept what you have done on my behalf by sending Jesus Christ your Son to break the power of sin over my life and to give me a choice to receive you today. Jesus, thank you for the sacrifice you made for me. From now on, I invite you to be my Savior.
Holy Spirit thank you for being part of this transformation. From now on, I consider myself a new creation according to the scripture in 2 Corinthians 5:17. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
God has sent people into our lives to speak to us. He speaks to us through books, friends, or Bible teachers. Sometimes we have family members who have known God and had fellowship with Him on a regular basis. Turn to these people in your time of need. They can help guide you through any problem, pray for you, and guide you to scriptures that can help with your situation.
We all have our stories of how we came to Christ. Maybe it was a day of desperation like myself. The day I was saved, I did not want to go on with my life. God sent someone down my path to tell me about His Son Jesus and the sacrifice He made for me personally. I was given hope a new start. It was November 10, 1994 when I accepted Jesus Christ as Lord of my life and the Savior of my soul. I still remember it like it was yesterday.
After I was saved, I began to listen to God’s word through the ministry of Kenneth Hagin ministries. I began to read a lot of his books. He was and will still be remembered as a man who knew and loved God and Kenneth also cared for my well-being.
Today I just want to remind myself and others to be GRATEFUL for those men and women that are so close to God and are willing to give it all to se
rve Him and share God’s love. Many of you have been influenced by authors that love God. You can still recall their names and the names of the book that touched your heart. Let’s take a moment and tell our Father God thank you for those men and women who went ahead of us and pointed us to Him in a mighty way.
As a result God has given the same assignment to us to tell our testimonies of who God is so they can also receive that free gift of salvation through Jesus Christ our Lord. Take time to teach and train yourself on becoming a disciple of Jesus. You can go to Kenneth Hagin’s website. I encourage you to download or purchase some of his books on The New Birth, his study course on faith, The Human Spirit, or In Him just to name a few of my favorites. They have changed my life.
Let’s continue to be grateful for the dedication of others who love and serve God. One thing we can do is learn from them and their testimonies. We love these authors who speak God’s word to us so eloquently, we speak the favor of God upon their lives, and we bless them for their love.
