Every mom remembers the first time she looked into the eyes of her child. The overwhelming feeling of love and joy that overcomes your very soul. You promise to love and protect that child until your last breath. God has given you the best gift, a sweet blessing from above.
The Bible has many examples of mothers who were willing to make the ultimate sacrifice for their children. The Bible also tells us in Proverbs 31 what a Godly woman looks like and how she should be celebrated.
“She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future.
When she speaks, her words are wise, and she gives instructions with kindness.
She carefully watches everything in her household and suffers nothing from laziness.
Her children stand and bless her. Her husband praises her: ‘There are many virtuous and capable women in the world, but you surpass them all!’
Charm is deceptive, and beauty does not last; but a woman who fears the Lord will be greatly praised.
Reward her for all she has done.”
Let her deeds publicly declare her praise.
Today is a day to celebrate every mother around the world! Thank you for your sacrifice and your love. Thank you for bringing us into the world and sharing God’s love with us. Your children would not be the people they are today without you!
