In our world, there are precious moments that we treasure forever. We look back at photo albums of our childhood, baby pictures of our children, and other moments that we want to remember for a lifetime. We smile and rejoice in those moments.
Even looking back on the history of our great country, you will find many treasured moments that have shaped humanity and the nation that we live in. It has moments of victory and moments when men and women gathered together after a crisis. What a moment! This nation is filled with great moments in sports, events, and people going from nothing to greatness. New cities have emerged and old cities have rebuild and restored. Soldiers return home from war across the seas and return back to their families. What a moment!
Today I want you to include the moments that the creator God wants us to remember. He saw that one day He will make the earth. God would make human beings to be His family and live with Him forever. He saw moments where men would search for Him with all their hearts. The Old Testament is filled with these moments where many people encounter the living God either with a voice from Heaven or just by hearing about the love of God. What a moment!
What about when the Lord Jesus decided to come to Earth and become our Savior. Jesus came to earth to be born of a human mother and to die a painful death. He was to be buried and resurrected. What a moment! The resurrection of Jesus has given us an opportunity to reunite with Father God. The Father of love had defeated the adversary of human kind the devil. What a moment! We can always look back and forever ponder on the victory won by Jesus Christ at the cross when He died and rose again. What a moment!
The moment humanity had waited thousands of years for finally came. What a moment! Think about the moments when you experience God’s spirit, the Holy Spirit who comes to live in you. The Holy Spirit lives with you once and for all as you discover who you are as a man or woman of Christ. That very moment will take us into eternity. 2 Corinthians 5:17 and Romans 10:9-11 will explain more about these moments.
Rejoice today for that moment! Jesus purchased us with His blood and allows us to experience His love and forgiveness and ultimately His heart.
Hallelujah to Jesus for such a moment provided to all mankind.
