If you are a believer, it is imperative to be know with the third person of the Godhead- the Holy Spirit.
In Jesus’ early ministry, He knew that He must be baptized by John the Baptist. John felt that he should not be baptizing Jesus but Jesus should be baptizing John. Jesus said to him, “John you must do this. By doing this righteousness will be fulfilled.” The Bible said how important this event was to Jesus. After Jesus’s baptism, He was led by the spirit from that point on.
Jesus didn’t do anything apart from the Holy Spirit’s guidance. Communication between Jesus and the Holy Spirit increased and they became inseparable. Jesus also communicated with the Father frequently, but Jesus was given the spirit without measure because of the task that He faced.
Jesus needed the Holy Spirit each every step of the way. Even at the garden of Gethsemane, Jesus was aware of the Father’s calling and the Holy spirit’s guidance. Jesus won the battle at the Garden when He said, “your will be done not mine.” (Matthew 26:42) He surrendered from the beginning to the very end.
That small voice that guided Jesus lives inside of you as well. The Holy Spirit guided Jesus through all of His struggles from the cross to the resurrection. The Holy Spirit will do the same for you– or you might say He’s already doing it. He’s ready to make that relationship stronger with you.

As you yield to the Holy Spirit, ask Him to reveal Himself to to you. He will reveal Himself to you because that is the assignment that the Father and Jesus gave the Holy Spirit. He’s been assigned to us and He will answer to the Father for His calling. The Holy Spirit is ready 24/7 to direct, guide, and teach us everything we need to know. John 14-16 tells us that before Jesus was arrested, He prepared His disciples for the task ahead. Jesus told His disciples in John 14:16-17: And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you.
Yield to the coach and the ministry that the Holy Spirit has for you. He’s ready to assist us and helps us through our life decisions. If Jesus needed the Holy Spirit, how much more do we need Him? He will never leave you or be absent from you. As you read the previously mentioned chapters of John, open your heart and imagine you were there with Him.
Is it possible that your relationship with the Holy Spirit can increase? Absolutely! All you have to do is yield to Him.
To learn more about the relationship between you and the Holy Spirit, I recommend you read “The Dynamic Duo” by Rick Renner. This is an amazing book that will change your life forever.
