Comfort one another. Christ will return!

There are many changes occurring in our world today. What we see on television, our workplaces, expectations of how we should behave in public, have all changed from how they were 20 years ago. Time is moving fast.

Every day technology is advancing quickly.  Our world is also rapidly changing. We are experiencing changes in the atmosphere and the weather is getting hotter. The seasons are changing and not as distinct as they once were. We are aging quickly and our kids are growing from infants to teens to adults super fast. It feels like we just paid all of the bills last week but now they are due again. Time goes so fast.

But as time continues to move quickly, we must be grateful for our homes, families, food on the table, and money to pay those bills. We can be positive even in the midst of tragedy or other challenges that we are facing. We must continue to be thankful for our Heavenly Father who supplies our every need when we did nothing to deserve it. We can  easily create a list of things to be thankful for.

As time continues to move, our Faith in Christ brings us to our ultimate future destiny: Heaven. This is a better place where our lives will be very different and our attention will be focused on Christ.

In the meantime, we are to prepare for the arrival of our Savior:

  • cross-1448946_1920In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? John 14:2
  • And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, Jesus who delivers us from the wrath to come. 1 Thessalonians 1:10
  • For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 1 Thessalonians 4:16
  • And then they will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory. Mark 13:26

Even if we are still on this earth 100 years from now, there is still hope for every believer. All we must do is put our trust in Jesus. The Son of Man will return for for His church and take us to the wedding supper of the lamb so we can be with Him forever and ever. Comfort each other with those words: He is coming back for us. Whether everyone agrees with these words or not, His word and promises will never change. Praise be to God forever and ever. Allelujah!

Isaiah 55:11: so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.
