As a society, we tend to overlook the sacrifices our moms and dads make for us every day. Sacrifices that are physical and emotional. Our parents make the best of everything with what they have.
My heartfelt thank you goes out to my folks who raised me the best way they could. Their sacrifice means a lot to me. I still remember the little things they did for me and will always have an attitude of thankfulness toward my parents. As a father of four boys and a baby on the way, I understand and appreciate everything they have done for me even more.
Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ gives us a new life in the kingdom of His and our Father. Jesus came when we were at our worst and He still saw us as worthy of dying for. All of humanity will praise the Lord forever! Jesus became a willing sacrifice for us to please God (Ephesians 5:2).
Scripture gives us 2 Corinthians 5:17 as the pinnacle of our faith: Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. This is a written assurance that He loves us and that we are in His kingdom once and for all.
For all of the mothers and fathers that sacrifice their lives, sweat and tears, and struggle to provide for their families, we say thank you for your sacrifice and every sacrifice you will make in the future.
If you happen to spend time with mom and dad, tell them how much they mean to you and your family. Don’t forget your Heavenly Father too. God loves to hear how much He means to you and deserves a big thank you for everything He does for you too.
