As a born-again believer, we must understand faith and walk by faith every day.

In the Bible, 2 Corinthians 5:17 says: Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. This means that we are a new creation that never existed before on earth. We are born again. If we are born-again and the Holy Spirit lives in us, why do we continue to have challenges in this life? Sometimes even people who have the strongest of faith face challenges.

If the word of God is truth and if God says what He means, what are we missing that causes us to face challenges? The answer is found in the book of Romans. God did His part by giving us the plan of redemption and assure Heaven to us. He sealed us with the Holy Spirit as an assurance of our salvation and the wrath of God. This also protects us from the second death which is separation from God.

The answer to many of our troubles is renewing our mind so we can think, speak, and act like God. We must make His words come alive in our lives so we can have what He already promises to us. Take steps to spend time in His word every day and listen to what the Holy Spirit tells us through the word. meditate in God’s love, forgiveness, and promises. This will give us the answers we so desperately seek.

adventure-1807524_640We can relate the changes in our lives to that of the work of a carpenter. The carpenter has the training and tools to do the job. He has to familiarize himself with how to use the tools, what kind of wood, nails, screws, and products you need to put together a beautiful work of art. It takes time and skills to know how to work on the project. This is also how it is with God. He has given us the tools, the time, and the promises to complete our project. We just need to learn how to apply the skills he has given us.

So it comes down to Galatians 5:15: But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. The key here is communication and asking the Holy Spirit to give us ears to hear and to understand what He is saying. Listen to the promises of Jesus. In John 16:13, Jesus said: When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come.

The Holy Spirit is already in your heart and is always guiding you to set you free and to see the truth. This is freedom from poor thinking and sinful lust. His objective is to guide us to the truth. Our part is following His lead.  He is always speaking so today listen and follow His lead.

Let you life experience the freedom that has already been purchased for you. Thank you Holy Spirit for leading us today.
