I recall early in my Christian life some of the experience I have had with the Lord. I can admit there were many impartations of God’s wisdom and revelations through scriptures that would jump out of the pages at me. The Holy Spirit would direct me to a great revelation of Jesus Christ and His word.

I still remember the day when the Holy Spirit began to dwell in me. As I surrendered my old life (Romans 10:9-10) to Christ and the new life took its place (2 Corinthians 5:17), my life became an amazing journey. As I dig into God’s word, I begin to learn about the promises of God and His anointing.

I have been in church services where God’s presence is so strong when we begin to worship God and Christ. With songs like “Welcome to this place” and “How great thou art” and many other songs, I can say that our Father has been gracious to me and to many others.

I recall some of the books I have read that have been so helpful in building up my relationship with my Father. “The Dynamic Duo” by Rick Renner, “Getting a Grip on the Basics” by Beth Jones and “Forever Changed” by Bob Yandian and many others have changed my life.

I attended the School of the Local Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma where I had great instructors like Geof Jackson and Bob Yandian. I remember memorizing Psalm 1, parts of Genesis, Proverbs and many of the great books of the Old Testament. The New Testament books of John and Matthew, the great chapter on the beatitudes, the books on Jesus’s birth, His ministry, and His death and resurrection show us the very love of God.

All the pieces together show us God’s love and how much He cares for us. We are His creation and His children. God wants to be gracious to us and give us what we need. All He asks in return is that we truly know Him and have a relationship with Him.

Study, pray, and spend time in His word. Spend time with God. That is the only way to truly know Him and understand His love and graciousness.
