Angels appear in human form to assist God’s children.

Have you ever met a mysterious stranger who came to help you in your time of need? Maybe, just maybe, an angel came to your assistance. Hebrews 13:2 tells us that at times, we may entertain strangers who are angels.

How close to human form can angels appear? The answer is extremely close. They are given the ability to change into human form to appear just like us. Angels have hair, hands, feet, arms, legs, and faces just like ours. This allows them to appear in our earthly realm without detection when they need to be visible in the human realm.

The Bible clearly teaches that angels are real beings.  They are not phantoms or imaginary figures. God has a powerful army of angels who are smart, powerful beings who network together to do the will of God and the Holy Spirit. We have real heavenly help from angels for our assignments.

Angels don’t need to rest or take a break from their assignments (Revelation 4:8). Be glad that we don’t have a worn-out angel on our side but an angel who does not need to rest is treatment-1327811_1920always available to help as needed.  We can be assured that when we need rest, our angels are still at work for us in both the earthly and heavenly realms.

Genesis 18:8 also said that angels assisted the children of Israel, sitting along side the Israelites eating manna. Angels travel at incredible speeds, the speed of light, to intercede for God’s children when needed. (Just so you understand the speed of angels, the speed of light is 186,000 miles per second.)

As they carry out their assignments, angels ascend and descend from heaven to earth as needed. In Genesis 28:19, Jacob dreamed of a ladder that reached heaven with angels ascending and descending. He renamed the place where he had the dream Bethel which means the house of God.

We see angels again interceding on earth during Jesus’s time. In Matthew 4:11, Jesus was in a fierce battle with Lucifer in the desert. At the end of the warfare, angels came to minister to Jesus. They brought him food and water after his 40 day fast.

Angels even had a hand in picking Jesus’s disciples (John 1:50-51). Jesus met Nathaniel who was surprised by Jesus when he said, “I saw you when you were under the fig tree and Philip told you about me.” Jesus was gathering disciples for a new earthly campaign. Nathaniel indeed saw angels ascending and descending from heaven to help Jesus on his campaign of bringing the Kingdom of God to earth through the Son of Man Jesus Christ. Angels will eventually be involved in each of the disciples lives when Jesus ascends back to heaven.

Next time you see a stranger, remember that they may not be exactly who you think they are. They may be a heavenly being sent by God to assist you in your mission from God.
