Jesus has been crucified. His body is taken down from the cross and has been given to Joseph of Arimathea per an order from Pilate. Jesus is wrapped in fine linen and placed in the tomb. A large rock is rolled in front of the door.

Because Jesus said he would rise again on the third day, guards are outside of the tomb. The priest feared that Jesus’s disciples would take the body.

Jesus is laid in darkness. A war is waged. An unseen battle for the souls of every person who will ever live on the earth. A battle that will overcome the power of Hell.

A gift of salvation and eternal life.

In a few hours, the war will be over and Jesus will overcome.
