If we could write the story of our lives, from the beginning to the end, there would be times of happiness, tears of joy, and many memories that are etched into our minds. We would write about the times we received the gifts that we longed for, our graduation after years of studying and hard work in school, and places we traveled to with our friends and family. We would probably include our first true love, marrying the person of our dreams, and starting a family together. We could easily fill a library with all the special memories and marvelous stories that we never want to forget.
But what about the times of grief? Those times when we lose the love of someone special and it penetrates your heart like a knife. When a child chooses the hard path and we are unable to guide them in the right direction. When a mother is struggling to feed her children and living in a shelter instead of a warm place she can call home. Living in a part of the world where there is turmoil 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Or the disappointment of not having a job because of criminal mistakes you made in your younger days that you just can’t get past.
We have all faced some kind of disappointment, either with ourselves, our loved ones, or society as a whole. So we end up discouraged feeling unloved and depressed. Rejected and abandoned. Our disappointments are deep cuts that penetrate our hearts. We ask ourselves who can help me and love me unconditionally.

The answer is Jesus.
Why Jesus? Because He can and He will forgive you even if you are at the lowest point of your life. Jesus is the only one who can understand your situation. Regardless of where you have been and what you have done right or wrong in your life, His only requirement is that you accept Him and believe that He is your answer, Savior, and Lord.
The book of Romans explains what you need to do to accept Jesus. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. For the Scripture says, “Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame.” Romans 10:9-10.
I will leave you with this thought. I believe that Jesus is saying to every one of us, “Come. Let me assure you with these words. It is over. Give it all to me. It is over. Your disappointments belong to me. It is over. Your tears and pain belong to me. It is over. Hand them all to me. It is over.”
If you turn all your hurts over to Jesus and accept Him and His words, in return you will receive His loving hands, His pure love, His acceptance, and best of all, eternal life. That is His promise from now until eternity.
Accept Him, believe Him, and confess His word and love over you and your family.
“It is over.”
