Throughout my life, I have received invitations of many different kinds. We receive invites to special events like weddings and birthday celebrations and invitations to join clubs and teams.
I remember one special invitation vividly–the invitation to become a citizen of the United States. This time it was my turn to send out the invitations, and I pondered who to invite. Invitations make us feel special and like we belong to something meaningful. It’s exciting to celebrate with those we love and those who hold a special place in our lives.
But there was one special invitation that I received that changed my life forever.
At the beginning of 2021, I was worshiping the Lord and meeting Him in prayer. On this morning, I began to cry uncontrollably. I began to sense the presence of the Lord in a different way, one that I had never felt before. A few days before, I had told the Lord that I was ready for a new revelation from God. I had been talking to some of my ministry partners about the book “Praise the Ultimate Experience. Worship the Ultimate Relationship” by Ron Parsley. I had read this book before, but this time, the book motivated me to look for something different, something more meaningful.
Because of this motivation, I asked the Lord to move me to a new level of anointing in my life. I wanted a place where I would sense the presence of the Lord on a more intimate level. I wanted Him to hold my hand and take me to His throne room. I prayed for these things, and I heard the answer. God gave me an invitation. God told me He would show me a great mystery and a new revelation. The words He spoke were simple and something that isn’t difficult for any of us to do.
God said, not audibly but inside my spirit, that I needed to spend a minimum of one hour in praise and worship. This seemed like a simple request and I didn’t think this would be a problem for me. So I started immediately and I invited others to worship with me. As I continued to invite others to worship with me, either in person or through video, something amazing began to happen. Testimony after testimony of peace in people’s hearts, minds, and souls. A feeling so indescribable! I feel renewed every day and ready to face the world.
Because of my faithfulness, the Lord has used me to reach out to my extended family members bringing them to Christ. I’ve begun working with ministry partners in Pakistan teaching via the Internet. The Lord allows me to minister every day to people that I would not normally be able to minister to. I attribute this to the intimate relationship that I am building with the Lord through daily praise and worship.
I encourage you to carve out an hour each day to praise and worship the Lord. God’s presence is like a liquid love that drenches your spirit and soul. It brings lightness and joy into your heart. At times, it feels like a sense of knowing touching every part of you physically, emotionally, and spiritually changing your life for the better. When we praise Him and worship Him, we release control to God truly depending on Him. It’s a time of healing, calm, and rest.
I truly enjoy the Psalms. David knew a thing or two about praising and worshiping God. He also knew the benefits of worship:
Cast me not away from your presence, and take not your Holy Spirit from me. (Psalm 51:11)
Worship the Lord in the splendor of holiness; tremble before him, all the earth! (Psalm 96:9)
You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore. (Psalm 16:8)
Seek God’s face every day in praise and worship. The best days of your life are ahead! You are to walk in those days in a new way that you have not walked before. Before God can bring revival to the masses, it has to start in you first. You are the channel. God will bring revival so start living revival, talking revival, and praise Jesus like never before! It all starts with you inviting Jesus to manifest in your life and you responding. We will experience His presence which will ignite and manifest the glory of God in you and through you.
But you have to take a leap of faith and step out into His presence.
Here is a prayer to get you started: King Jesus, I am inviting you to come in right now. I want to know you more. I need you. My heart longs for you. I need you more than my own breath. Here I am thanking you for allowing me to come into your presence and thanking you for giving me this invitation today. If it wasn’t for you, I wouldn’t be here today. I thank you. Hold my hand and lead me. Guide me into your presence. I need your presence in my life. I pray in your name Jesus. Amen.
