The world continues to catch people by surprise, off guard, and unprepared. People are easily sidetracked by these surprises.

These same people are easily misled and believe whatever they hear. Whatever association they have with others, they blindly follow. They are like a wind that goes in all different directions.

These same people are always asking the questions “why do these bad things happen to me?” and “what have I done to deserve this unfairness from this world and God?” They are always complaining about how life does not treat them good and fair and always complaining about today, regretting yesterday, and fearing tomorrow. That’s what this world offers and is filled with.

At one point or another, they cry out to someone to help them. What they don’t know is that when they really need it, help has already been provided for them. But they must sincerely want it.

At one point in my life, I was one of those people. I was lost, fearful, doubting anything good and always blaming others for my failures and disappointments — until I cried out to God and asked for help. I remember that I went to the Bible to challenge God. I wanted to find out if He truly exists. I opened the Bible to a verse: Romans 10:9-10. I began to read it and then a second and a third time until I understood what the verse was saying. Then I looked to heaven and said, “if you are really real, if you exist, I want to get to know you.” I opened my mouth, confessed those words, and said them in all the sincerity that I had within me.

I believed at that moment and something miraculous happened to me that day. I accepted God as my Father. I felt Him and my eyes were open. I could see things that I had not seen before and I was finally able to see a brighter future. At that moment, I knew at that God was real. Now I know Him better and more than I ever had before.

When God gives you Himself, He gives you everything you need — a purpose driven life. After this, I got my hands on this book called The Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren. I encourage everyone to have this book on your bookshelf. This book explains the five purposes God has intended for us to live. It has changed my life to understand that I have a purpose and that you have a purpose. Everyone has a purpose. There are a few scriptures to learn in that book that will forever change your life.

Choose today to be aware of God’s presence and aware that He loves you and that you really matter to Him. Find your purpose in God. Learn who you can be. Your life will begin to unfold and change you for the better. God said it and you can do it. Make a change today. And if you have, share these wonderful things with others who have not discovered what you already know.

Make the change and share your testimony with the whole world. Let them know Jesus is alive and you are too.
