When I look back on my life, many men and women have sown their time and understanding of God’s word into my heart. It always brings great joy to my heart to remember their names.

I remember when I attended Grace Church in Tulsa with Pastor Bob Yandian. My life was changed and transformed by his teachings. Many speakers would come to Grace. One in particular inspired me to look into the Greek language and how words in the Bible translated in Greek. This was a man by the name of Rick Renner. Every year he would come to Tulsa for a pastor’s conference and he would also visit various other times throughout the year. He wrote many books and I enjoyed purchasing and reading his books.

The way Rich teaches is very unique because he takes you through the Bible using the Greek language to interpret the true meaning of the scriptures.  Later, I found out that he was a journalist. Rick combines teaching and a journalist’s perspective of telling the stories of the New Testament. His writing style makes his teachings very appealing and easy to understand.

I recommend that you get some of Rick’s teachings. On his website renner.org, you can purchase many of Rick’s books. Two in particular I highly recommend: Sparkling Gems from the Greek volume 1 and Sparkling Gems from the Greek volume 2.

At times, I think about the different ministers who share God’s word with us through books. I read their writings and they bless my life. Be encouraged as they share their testimonies of how their journeys began and the journey they are still on sharing God’s word with great love and compassion.
