Visions & dreams at the end of days

by Angela Moreno

I truly believe we are living in the last days, the time period Jesus spoke of in Matthew 24.  We are standing perilously close to the edge, and many around the world have no clue that they are about to fall over the cliff.

Over the last couple of weeks, I’ve seen an influx of videos from people who are having visions and dreams about the events that are unfolding before our very eyes.  I myself had a dream that I at first brushed off as me studying end-time prophecies too much, only to have it confirmed by a video of a dream that a pastor in Kentucky had.  I was stunned at the similarities.

Another video showed a very emotional woman who had an encounter with Jesus.  He was leaving her behind and she was very distraught.  In this video Jesus told her that He is the love of our lives and that He is coming back sooner than we think He is.  That video gave me chills and lit a fire under me.

The prophet Joel spoke of the end times and this influx of visions and dreams:

And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, and your young men shall see visions. Even on the male and female servants in those days I will pour out my Spirit.  (Joel 2:28-32)

I believe God is pouring out His spirit right now and lighting a fire under those of us who are willing to act on His behalf.

This morning I was studying the book of Acts when a verse caught my attention and the Holy Spirit revealed a vision to me.  Paul has just arrived in Athens and he is appalled at what he is seeing.  All around him are altars to various foreign Gods.  In Athens, a group called the Areopagus are called together.  This group is known for studying everything and believing nothing.  Paul says to them:

For as I walked around and looked carefully at your objects of worship, I even found an altar with this inscription: to an unknown god. So you are ignorant of the very thing you worship… (Acts 17:23)

I was thinking about how sad it was that these people were worshiping all of these idols without worshiping the one true God.  I was particularly taken by the inscription “to an unknown God” when a picture played out in my mind.  God was showing me the “unknown gods” of our society.  I was walking through an area and all around me were altars.  On each altar, the name of an “idol” was written.  Social media. Power. Money. Success. Beauty. Knowledge.  I could see hundreds of altars all around me.  I knew in my heart none of them were altars to God.  These were all false idols and altars to the materialistic ideals that we worship know instead of God.

These were the causes and convictions that our society are worshiping and letting consume us right now instead of letting us focus on what is really going on in the world. Unfortunately, it’s not only people who don’t believe in Jesus who are worshiping these altars.  It’s many who would consider themselves Christians as well.  I cried because I know how close we are to the end and I know that I often fail Jesus too and let “unknown gods” cloud my focus.

Right now as a nation, we are focused on the wrong things.  We are focused on the things of this world, the things that Satan has put in place to distract us from our one true love and the worship of the one true God.  We are focused on what Satan has put in place to bring his regime into this world to rule and reign and force God’s people out of the picture.

If you are a follower of Jesus, you have an assignment.

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. (Matthew 28:19)

This is known as the Great Commission and I can tell you right now that a lot of people who confess to being a follower of Jesus and a lover of Jesus are not taking this command very seriously.  We are so concerned about offending people and being uncomfortable talking to someone else about Jesus.

Stop thinking about yourself!

Being uncomfortable for a few minutes talking to someone about the love of Jesus is a lot more comfortable than knowing that you could have been a seed to a person coming to Christ or you could have led that person to Christ.  Our discomfort is only for a small while compared with eternity.  Jesus suffered much pain and discomfort on the cross for us.  We can suffer for a short while for Him.

When the time comes, I don’t want to stand before Jesus and say I should have done more for Him but I was scared.  I also don’t want to look at people burning in the Lake of Fire, my friends and loved ones who I possibly could have led to Christ, and know that I could have helped prevent that.

Search your heart.  Jesus is speaking in great and mighty ways right now.  I guarantee He is giving you an assignment if you are willing and able.

Are you willing and able?  I know I am and I’m going to do my part for Him.

  1. Angela, would you be willing to share your dream with me? I think I know what pastor you are referring to. I have never put a lot of faith in prophecy but I’m waking to that now…

    • Hi Ivy! In my dream, I was with my family and a group of people. All around us things were burning and soldiers were all around us. Our group was under attack because we followed God and were not willing to comply with the new regulations the soldiers were trying to put into place. The soldiers were constantly chasing us and as they caught people in our group, they would kill them. We would go to one location and think we were safe only to find out that we needed to move again so we wouldn’t be killed.

The dream was no more than 30 minutes as my son woke me up. I was shaken and felt uneasy but I have been studying the book of Daniel lately and just attributed it to too much end-time prophecy studying. When I heard the pastor’s vision of Washington burning, soldiers on the ground, and churches under attack, I was surprised at how similar my dream was to what he predicted to happen in November.

As for what he said about the coin currency, that is already happening in Tulsa. The bank even had a sign up the other day that all transactions would be rounded up to the nearest whole dollar.

God gives us warnings through dreams and visions. I truly believe what the pastor saw will happen.
